hello I was wondering if anyone has a KMC Smart plug and got it to work with HA.
It works with Alexa, I was hoping to get it working with my automation’s I got it from Amazon, they had a lightning sale I got it for ten bucks couldn’t pass it up.

I had a problem with this smart plug a few days ago,I took it apart and found out it has a ESP8266 12E inside. Can it be flashed with something else to work with HA and the power meter still work.

Wondering if any one got this to work? I’m wondering if the HA-Bridge emulator will work.

I just bought these. You can pair them to the Tuya App instead of the KMC app. I think it’s the same cloud rebranded for KMC.

Then just add the Tuya HA integration.

FYI, I followed this guide and successfully loaded ESP Home on a KMC Smart plug. The ESPHome YAMl is provided in this post. At the moment I have only done the one-relay version (using Relay 3 and deleting part of the YAML that references Relays 1 and 2), but will be trying on the 3-relay version soon.

I am trying to use these with home assistant, and the video you posted uses old software, and I am a noob… Can you give me some direction please?

Hi @SwagDad - have not had to do this in a while so I do not have a new method to offer. Did you try it and it does not work anymore ?

Like @marcoby mentioned, you can pair KMC devices to Tuya smart app, then use Tuya integration.

I just did this, the only problem was Tuya app can’t discover my KMC smart tap automatically, I had to manually pair it. And all 3 outlets and energy monitoring are work.
