My KNX add-on shows no errors, but the connection still doesn’t work. The entities I created with group addresses (GA) do not respond. In the Home Assistant KNX monitor I can see that telegrams are being sent, but in the ETS monitor – on the bus side – they never arrive.
So I tried to reconfigure the add-on and ran into the issue mentioned in the subject: In tunneling Routing mode, I don’t see any field where I can enter the IP address of my KNX router (see picture).
Thanks in advance for your help.
What KNX IP interface device do you have?
Do you have Secure enabled in the device?
Are the filters set in the device?
You need to be a lot more complete with your information for us to be able to help.
Going of the screenshot you do not have a Router but an Interface (tunnel) in your setup.
So setting it up as a router will not work.
@Dujith Thanks,
-
- MDT SCN IP100.03
- CORE from Basalte
- 1Home KNX Server Pro
- no, Secure is not on. It is disabled
- there is also no filter seted
which information do you need more?
But this windows is that i get, when i click on Configuration → routing
That is a router yes. But if you want to use tunneling you need to select tunneling in the page you showed in the last screenshot.
Filters are set via tables that get auto added in ETS when you include the KNX address (e.g. 1.1.233 or whatever) as a dummy device in ETS when using the router option.
You could do a quick test to just disable the filtering in the MDT router to see if HA is even able to see the MDT.
But if you want to use tunneling
my mistake, I mean routing
The Tables I set to forwarding… I give you feedback soon
It doesn’t work
You will be able to set the IP address when you select tunneling.
Did you try that? Also if you use tunneling you need to pick a KNX address that is provided by the router. They should show up under the router itself in ETS.
The fact that you get the message that no router cold be found may suggest a network problem.
yes, i can read the KNX Adressess.
One of them I set in HA.
But i can’t set the IP for the Router.
Is there any posibility to do it in otherway? For example via ___.yaml ?
I try tunneling… thats works…
