I am after a cheap bluetooth adaptor available in Australia.
You can read the list of brands/models (based on CSR8510A10)
Bluetooth - Home Assistant
But this list of adaptors is so old (as I googled each one) they are mostly out of stock, cannot be exported form USA, want me to pay $UK, or cost around $80AD.
I already bought a V5 Orico which does nothing.
So I was after someone in Oz that has recenly bought a bluetooth adaptor in Australia for say $10-20AD.
Please send the link.
Or if I am completely wrong and the V5 Orico does work when plugged in, What am I doing wrong?
Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
You can’t go cheaper (or simpler) than an ESP board running a bluetooth proxy. Pick one with an external antenna and you can place it closer to your devices.

Have you got a URL for which seller you would recommend.
I usually get mine from AliExpress, so can’t recommend any particular seller. Pretty sure you’ll find plenty of sellers in Australia though.
For a local supplier Core Electronics have a good range. Otherwise Aliexpress gets here in just a few days.
A good BLE proxy is the GL.inet GL-S10 which has an external antenna and ethernet (POE as well). It can be flashed with ESPHome through the UART pins internally.
