How do I set up the LD2450 to utilize zones for automations. Is there a different yaml that specifically looks at occupancy in the 3 zones? I have tried several different yaml files & none of which seems to support zone in the automations.
For instance, I want to turn a light on when occupancy is detected in zone 2. How do I do this?

So, you do realize that the sensor just configured for motion detection alone can cover an entire room without needing to set up any unique zones, right?
Creating and configuring up to 3 zones will just allow you create 3 different zones/areas within a single room or large area.
Do you mind sharing where you intend to use this sensor at? Will it be indoors in a specific room or do you intend using it outdoors? Whats the plan?
Also, the link you provided is for setting up a HA card that displays a radar screen for the HA card. Is that also what you’re wanting to do?
My whole reasoning for picking this sensor is because it has the ability to setup zones. If I just wanted to setup one big room & forget about it. I would have used one of my LD2010’s or LD1125H’s. However, that is not my intent here.
Yes, creating 3 zone should allow you to have the ability to create an automation around that zone or entity. If occupancy is detect in one of the 3 zones to turn on a light in that zone area.
All I want to do is setup an automation based from one of the 3 zones.
