I am looking for Led Strip recommendations, but I have some limitations to save myself some trouble.
No DIY LEDs. I don’t want to have to buy separate LEDs and controllers, and have to solder. If there is no soldering then it’s ok.
Wi-Fi only. No matter, thread, or any of these fancy new protocols. Wi-Fi is good, reliable and simple. Also no Bluetooth, infrared, Zigbee or Z-Wave.
Local communication only obviously. I don’t mind if I have to use an app or the cloud for the initial setup.
HA integration of course. It would be good if it was official, but custom is ok also.
Any suggestions are welcome, preferably from personal experience.
Thanks

You forgot to mention what kind of strips…
Analog or addressable?
Rgb or white? Or warm/cold white? Or RGBWW?
How long strips? What luminous power?

Analog, RGB, 2 meters. I haven’t thought about power. I don’t really need them to replace light bulbs. Just for decoration.
I found these

Which are cheap, and support Tuya, which I think makes them compatible with home assistant, and the local Tuya integration.
But it would be good to have options from other brands.

I would go with Shelly RGBW PM and any 12-24V LED strip you happen to have available.

I love shelly, but €30 per led strip is just too much

Bro they’re half what you’d pay for any Hue product.
If you want many LED strips and cheap , DIY is the only way.

Add the strip and power supply. +15eur.
Still my preferred option for permanent installation.
If you want 10eur gadget, AE is full of them. I have used some 5V strips like that, I just throw the controller to trash and replace it with esp32 / Wled.

if you are going cheap LED strips at the very least stay away from Tuya Wifi based devices since they need a cloud connection to work… get the zigbee version to try out instead:
