OK I am trying to re-enable https on HA assistant
I am running a Linux Virtual machine (virtual box) on a Mac OS Host.
HA HAOS 18.2
Core 2026.8.3
I am trying to Use DuckDNS and LetsEncrypt to secure my HA with a HTTP Challenge because I cant seem to get to work using DNS
The process runs with the following error.
Hint: The Certificate Authority failed to download the challenge files from the temporary standalone webserver started by Certbot on port 80. Ensure that the listed domains point to this machine and that it can accept inbound connections from the internet.
I verified that domain points to my system . I can logon to my HA using that domain, so I presume that it can’t accept inbound I must have something misconfigured
Any help would be appreciated so I can go back to other ways of torturing my installation
