LIFX, Outdoor spot lights, zones (etc)?

I have the Lifx outdoor 12v spotlights, and using the LIFX integration.

I’m struggling a bit to understand which features I can use and which get ignored.

The LIFX mobile app for example will let me run the effect move with a theme. The integration does not give an error, but it seems ignored.

I think it is that some themes, as well as other actions, the issue may be zones. This is a three zone device despite being a spot “light”, so I can set colors in the app in each of three zones.

When I set color specific to a zone, the whole light changes color.

These are the only LIFX lights I have, so it is hard to know whether what shows in the develop/states would tell me if I have zones (it doesn’t mention them).

Is there a way to turn on some kind of debugging or logging so when I send it a command that doesn’t apply, it gives some error that’s visible? It’s hard to know as-is whether my commands are just not doing what I want, or are not supported on this device.

PS. Latest everything that’s released as of mid-October.

PPS. effect_morph, which requires zones (of sorts) does work.

I’m almost sure Lifx is either ZigBee or tuya.

I don’t know what chip is inside, the product is an FEIT brand, and uses wifi and/or matter(over wifi). It’s certainly not zigbee, and I have seen nothing about tuya related to it. There is a separate, built in integration for it in HA.
