First, thank you to the team of Home Assistant, Nabu Casa, and Open Home Foundation. All of you, all of they, are doing an awesome job and thanks to you for this amazing open-source software.
When editing light action in an automation or script, I have a random color script so I can only edit in YAML. When I wanted to add another option, in the screenshot, you will see a second light action. I just picked any light and got the value I wanted, then copied it to the first light action, then deleted the second one I created (see first screenshot).
I understand why custom actions require this. I think it will be good if something like this was done (see second screenshot). Therefore, I have access to the other options via GUI. There should still be an “Edit YAML” function. If the customization goes beyond one option that is not adjustable via GUI, by all means, it can only be adjusted via YAML. For one-liners, it would be sweet. Maybe a small “YAML” link in the upper right would allow customization of options (see third screenshot).
Outside of this, if this never comes, I have no issue creating a new light action just to get a value or command that I do not remember. There’s always the Home Assistant website to assist as well. Thank you all.
