Is there anyway to limit the devices that show up available to each user? I’d like my wife to have access to certain lights but not other devices.
I don’t think HomeAssistant has gravitated to that level of maturity security, and granularity yet.
Have you tried limiting her user profile to only display certain areas and controls in the default dashboard associated with her seperate profile that pops up when you initially enter HomeAssistant, and gently warned her not to tinker with other options?
Does talking YAML options dominate mealtime discussions? Should it?

Solution: make robust backups, often, and offline that they cannot destroy. Empowerment and sharing bring their own rewards too.
