Limit upper dim level of light?

I have some zigbee lights connected trough deconz that is getting wery warn when on 100%
Is there a way to limit users ability to set them to above 80% dim?

One way would be to create an automation that monitors the light’s brightness and, if it exceeds 80%, sets it to a lower value.

Let me know if you need help creating the automation.

personally, i’d use a template light and hide the hardware version. But you’ll still need an automation if you want to truncate at the hardware itself. i.e. don’t allow people to use the switch to set it above %80.

FWIW, some hardware has internal settings to limit stuff like that. Might want to add zigbee or decons tag to the post.
