Hey All
i have been using the GitHub - ironsheep/RPi-Reporter-MQTT2HA-Daemon: Linux service to collect and transfer Raspberry Pi data via MQTT to Home Assistant (for RPi Monitoring) to onitor a few rpi’s i have around the house i recently got a couple of n100 mini pcs and would like to start monitoring them via homeassisant.
has anyone gone down this rabbit hole ad point me to the best solution
Glances is a useful cross-platform tool and there’s a Glances integration for HA (as well as an addon to run it under HA). If running on Windows, Glances will not give you CPU temps. For this I’m using Open Hardware Monitor .
I did a quick market survey on this topic last summer that might be helpful to review.
HASS Agent is for Windows, but there are a number of agents for Linux you could look into.
IoTuring is Python so runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac and has been updated fairly recently;
system-mqtt is like System Bridge but runs as a service on your non-HA servers and uses MQTT auto-discovery topics;
hass-sysmon can be installed as a linux service and interestingly POSTs to HA’s MQTT web service so I suspect it is very low overhead;
