Live Camera Feed Issue

So I’ve just set up my Nest cameras using the new API and overall it seems to work really well, what I don’t understand though is the following

This works standalone:

camera_image: camera.nest_hello
camera_view: live
entity: camera.nest_hello
type: picture-entity

But this does not work as part of a picture elements card:

  - camera_image: camera.nest_hello
    camera_view: live
    entity: camera.nest_hello
    type: image

Any ideas?

A framework is coming out in the latest HA beta. It doesn’t support cameras yet. What problem? What method of getting the camera in HA?

The RTSP stream needs a token regeneration to keep it alive. Not sure if that’s what the issue is as there’s no description of an issue.

The picture entity card works perfectly, I have node red setup and it refreshes the token etc so it works perfectly

However in a picture elements card using the image code it won’t display the live feed unless I click on it and open it up

Any ideas?

Wow I didn’t have the time to try that out.
Waiting for the official integration since I’m wrapped up in work.

I think you’re in a limited group, I’ve had issues with the picture glance card with the badnest and official work with nest legacy video (snapshots). It loses the image after being open for 30 mins or so.
