I’m seeking a solution to stream a camera from my car to Home Assistant. In Vietnam, it’s challenging to find ringcams or high-end cameras with built-in streaming capabilities. Therefore, I’m looking for a budget-friendly option. I’m considering purchasing a regular IP camera (EZVIZ C1C) and a 4G WiFi hotspot with NAT port functionality (I’m not entirely certain if this is possible; I’ve heard that Netgear MR1100 can handle DMZ). Subsequently, I plan to use RTSP to obtain still images (I’m not concerned about the WAN IP address since it can be accessed via EZVIZ integration).
Alternatively, I’m considering using an old phone to stream the image. While it can function as a WiFi hotspot, I’m not entirely sure if this is feasible.
