Hi together,
This is my first integration I ever released:
At the weekend I played around with AI supported coding and the new released OpenAPI from Bosch/Buderus: GitHub - smoki3/ha_bosch_k40rf: Local Bosch/Buderus Integration for K40RF/MX400 using OpenAPI · GitHub
It enables local, fast, and reliable monitoring of heat pumps, hybrid systems, and conventional heating setups using the Bosch Connect-Key K 40 RF or Buderus MX400 gateway.
It communicates directly with the gateway using the official specification provided by the Bosch Home Comfort Developer API—completely local and cloud-independent.
Highlights
- 100% Local REST API: Fast, reliable, and operates entirely over your local network without any external cloud dependency.
- Official API Compliance: Built strictly according to the official Bosch Home Comfort Developer API specification.
- Broad System Support: Supports heat pumps, boilers, hybrid systems, EEBus states, and Smart Grid statuses.
- Structured Device Hierarchy: Automatically groups entities under their corresponding parent devices (Gateway, Heating Circuits, Domestic Hot Water, Solar Thermal, Ventilation, Room Controllers, and RF Thermostats).
- Dynamic Entity Discovery: Only exposes entities for components physically installed on your heating system—no ghost or unavailable sensors.
- Secure Local Pairing: Token-based authentication directly on the gateway with physical button-press verification.
