I’ve finally got Local Tuya (V5) working after adding all my devices manually as the discovery never worked.
Everything is working extremely well - except for my interface with Google Assistant and Google Home.
There appears to be an issue with status updates to Google Home, even though the status is correct in Home Assistant.
For example, if I use the example of a (Tuya) light:
When I turn the light on in Google Home; it briefly shows as “on” then it updates the status to “off”. The light is actually “on” and HA shows it as “on”. If I press “on” again, Google Home status updates to “on”. No change to the status to the light or HA.
The same occurs when you press "off’ in Google Home - it briefly updates the status to “off”, then back to “on”. Device actually is “off”. Clicking “off” again, changes the status to “off” in Google Home.
This only happens with Local Tuya entities - all other entities work fine through Google Home/Assistant.
My initial assumption is that Google Home/Assistant appears to get the wrong status fed back after an action. Subsequent action updates it to the correct status.
Before I start digging deeper into what’s actually happening, I just want to check if other users of Local Tuya are experiencing the same issue or if its my setup/network.
Its not a “deal breaker” but would love to resolve this issue.
