Using config/integrations/integration/localtuya for a while

I have 2 WiFi Multizone Electric Blanket
Bit complex
They worked.
Turned off over summer. Now back on, and back working in SmartHome.
In LocalTuya
1 blanket works
the 2nd, I tried to edit. Still greyed.
I deleted and added again. It could find the key & ip auto filled.
Once I do, ALL LocalTuya devices grey.
Log says Could not find device for device_id x200 times.
What sould I do?
Try a different Tuya integration maybe? there are many all different.
different how? aren't they all just need/use the orig tuya to do their stuff?
trying to set up all the devices on a new integration would take a long time for each test
Tuya uses many different protocols, it is not unified across all devices. One integration may work better with a certain protocol than others. Which one works best may change over time due to firmware updates.
I've been using this integration for a while. If you have all the devices still in the tuya smart life app, you can just scan a qr code and it will get all the local keys and set the devices up.

It depends why you're using TuyaLocal/LocalTuya. People either use them because they want their setup to be local, or because the device is missing sensors or controls in the core Tuya integration.
If the latter, there is a new process as of 2025.0 that allows people to submit custom mappings to the tuya library, which in turn allows all Home Assistant users to use the device as intended.
I'm a big fan of this as it allows the community to contribute instead of, as you said, being quite split between methods. How to contribute a quirk.

You don't need both integrations for the same device to work, no. If you have other cloud-based devices not in the local integration, you'll need to keep it.
Did you delete and add it again from the Smartlife/Tuya App? I have found my Genio LED strip does this sometimes and I have to delete and re-add it in the App. Once re-added it works again with the same bindings in Local Tuya.
Especially if one of the same model is still working.

TuyaLocal seems to be happy with this electric blanket
let's see if it's happy with all the other items or whether I have to run 2 copies
I'm having a problem with curtains on TuyaLocal. There is no item called curtains and it does not work as a light switch or any of the other options
I use the xZetsubou fork of LocalTuya
Works more reliably for me but if you have it working with TuyaLocal stick with it.
