Has anyone got a reliable way of using location services to trigger automation. I’ve tried using the iOS tracker, life 360 with poor results. I want to automatically open my electric gates as I approach my house, it worked the first day, second day I was at the gate, third day it opened the gates at 4am after I had been home 8 hours. I want tit to open them as I enter the home zone which has a 75m radius.
Anyone had any real success?
Did you try the Home Assistant Companion app yet? Works fine for me.
I use the companion app on my iPhone, my router‘s device tracker capabilities and the position tracking of my BMW - all do.
I have the app on my phone, is there anything I need to do to improve accuracy. I use phone tracker entity entering home zone but it seems delayed.
