Location / Presence detection not working

Recently got a Pixel 9 Pro, and location / presence detection is just not working.
I have the companion app installed, with location sensors enabled.
I have person configured (me) and linked the pixel 9 pro device to that person
Yet, HA is constantly reporting me as away

I realise this is a very basic problem, and in the past I’ve had no problems. I have 2 other people configured they use iOS devices without the companion app on their devices, and presence detection works flawlessly

I’m pretty sure I’m missing something basic and obvious, but it’s driving me mad

Please help!

Just curious Valiceemo, did you place the Pixel 9 as your device location determiner in Settings>>People>>Valiceemo>> “Select the devices that belong to this person”?

Yes indeed I did
I have also tried removing it and re-adding

No joy

Maybe of significance…

I installed the nmap tracker, and that does not pick up the pixel 9 pro, in fact it barely detects any of my network devices
