I have two Kwikset 916 Smartcode 10T door locks, connected via ZHA. I installed Lock Code Manager, and generated a dashboard using one of the provided templates. Everything looked fine, and I entered codes for slot1 and slot2 during setup. I went out, and when I came back, the slot one code didn’t work on the front door, but it did work on the Utility Room door.
When I bring up the dashboard, I can see that slot1 is disabled. When I enable it, it won’t stay enabled, as you can see in the video.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? I tried running the action hard.refresh.usercodes, and nothing changed.
UPDATE: Fixed. I did a factory reset on both locks, then reconnected them to ZHA. Next, I deleted the old lock entities from the Lock Code Manager integration and added the new ones. The dashboard immediately updated, and everything worked. I don’t know how it got messed up originally, but the majoragee said that entering a label in a code field can cause problems. I probably did that.
I was having the same issue and I was able to fix it by completely deleting the top-level lock code manager from the integration and starting over from the beginning with a barebones setup. I had 8 managed lock codes, but only one set and enabled - the rest were unset and disabled. Then, I entered additional codes one-by-one in the dashboard.
I do know two things about the failing setup:
I mistakenly swapped the label and pin code in one of my slots, so I had an invalid code in one of the slots on initial configuration.
I had this in my log: Code rejected: Lock lock.front_door_keypad_door_lock: cannot set code on slot 2 — PIN duplicates managed slot 1. I don’t think I had a duplicate codes set in LCM, so this may have been a conflict between what LCM was trying to set and what was already programmed in the lock.
My next troubleshooting step was going to be removing the LCM instance, hard resetting all user codes from the lock keypad, then re-initializing LCM. But, that wasn’t necessary.
