Lockly WiFi Hub

Hey, my Lux is on 3.03.62 and the matter hub is 05.03.29. The model ends in FNUS, if that helps.

Weird, the ‘new’ app shows no FW Update, I installed the old app and all 3 locks have updates available!
My LUX on 3.03.62 is now locking and unlocking in HA! Thank you.

could I confirm it’s the PGH260

“Lockly Matter Link” hub I need to get to make my lock work with HA…

(I have a compatible lock)

Thanks

How do you do this? I don’t; see the PGAWDS sensor as an entity… where is it?
I have control in HA over open, close but that’s all…
BTW prior to getting one, I assumed this hub worked via matter over thread…
(It’s Matter over wifi)…

Cheers

I have the matter hub for my secure pro. I linked it with matter to their app and cannot now get it into home assistant. How did you go about getting it into home assitant. Do I just integrate it with home assistant and not use the app? Im assuming its like the Aqara FP2 where you put it into homekit and delete it for it to show up in home assistant, but not sure how to do it. Their support has been tepid at best.

I connected, defaulted, deleted, and re-connected the Lockly Matter Hub to HA a dozen times and never had an issue logging in to HA. My 2 Matter Hubs still do not work consistently and not at all at the moment. It’s supposed to work in the Lockly app and in HA at the same time. I am waiting for another firmware update from Lockly to hopefully get it to work. I am not sure how you could delete it from the Lockly app and still configure it to add finger prints, access codes, or prox cards.

It’s Matter over wifi (if that’s any help)… It doesn’t sync over a Thread network as far as I can tell…

Can anyone confirm if the new Matter Link hub allows for integrating to HA and specifically creating, updating and removing access codes?

I’m looking to use this to integrate with Airbnb and automatically generate access codes when guest reservations are made.

It does not. There is only a lock and unlock. Everything else is in their app.

How did you get the PGAWDS into Home Assistant? I have the lock/unlock control which works, but no sensors or other stuff show up on the device info page. I have a Secure Pro (it does have an N in the serial).

I followed the details provided by nicklan & Ingo and when I was done, I could control the lock in Home Assistant while also being able to manage the lock’s settings through its own app. The important thing, I think, is to not delete the matter link from the Lockly app.

  1. First pair using the Lockly App and make sure that’s working
  2. Reset the matter hub by
    A) Unplug
    B) Plug
    C) Wait for red light to blink (@Ingo)
    D) Hold the reset button until the light blinks
  3. Now add it as a new device in HA

@Pjarbit - you might find this helpful too

Does your reliably control your lock? Mine is hit our miss on when it’s unlocked/locked or being able to lock/unlock it. Mostly miss…

I just got it, so I’m still experimenting, but Lockly 's connected experience, even with their own app, definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I love the “pin genie” feature, but I wish they would make this part better.

  1. First pair using the Lockly App and make sure that’s working
  2. Reset the matter hub by unpluging, pluging, and holding the reset button until the light blinks
  3. Now add it as a new device in HA

It’ll stay paired with the lock via Bluetooth, but be properly set up for matter with HA.

This is the same procedure I followed which worked for me too. Now I can lock and unlock my Lockly Secure Pro deadbolt with Home Assistant! Yay. However, the whole reason I got this Matter Smart Hub was to be able to automatically set and erase “Access Codes” for guests and cleaners. However, that functionality does not exist. Hmm. I wonder if it’s even possible via the Matter integration? If so, I could write the code, but have to figure out where the SDK documentation is.

Having some problems with my Lockly Secure Plus PGD628F and the matter hub. I connected it to the Lockly app and then to Home Assistant following the procedure above. It worked fine but with some minor delays. At some point it stopped working. The app itself works fine but HA only sees the lock in unlocked mode and can’t lock it anymore.

I also just discovered a very disappointing fact that you need to have one hub per lock. Was hoping to use one hub for two locks sitting next to each other. Any experience with actually using one hub?

Hello everyone, Just wanted to add an issue I’ve been having trying to get my home assitant to talk with the lockly hub. If you’re setup with vlans or even have different subnets for your wifi vs. your home assistant instance, you’ll be unable to connect the hub if your router doesn’t allow multicast DNS between vlans/subnets.
Hope this helps someone

Has anyoen worked out if its possible to have the matter hub connected to both the lockly app (so you can control finger print access et al) and also connected to HA via matter ?

The approach above seems to be to reset the hub and connect it to HA, which would remove it from the lockly app.

I purchased the Matter Hub from lockly, had to remove access from the wifi-hub and add to matter hub, but once I did, I could access lock/unlock in HA. I’ve asked Lockly to officially document what, specifically, get’s exposed via matter and asked to expand to more than lock/unlock, so we’ll see.

I think i will end up doing this, as their cloud based locking and unlocking takes FOREVER and is flakey at best.

Can you still use the lockly app via bluetooth to control finger prints ?

I have finally got around to trying this and just not having any luck.

I havent used matter before, so maybe I am missing something; I have the addon installed and the integration is using it.

I go to add matter device from the companion app; scan the QR code and get a generic this didnt work try again error.

Ive also tried the activation code that came with it, as the pairing code, but thats not long enough.

Im sure ive just missing something obvious … but what?
