Sometimes it takes a while to load logbook events (see this).
And it’s even worse if I need information on say, yesterday’s ones - when I click on Logbook, I have to wait until it displays a list of events with default search parameters (today’s events, 1 day), then change search parameters to desired ones and wait again.
I believe it’s much more logical, less time-consuming and not too inconvenient to add a Search/Show button and perform any actions only when the user presses that button.
