[Logbook] user actions only filter

It would be great to be able to filter only activity done by users and not all changes that happened within that timeframe.

Currently it is not possible to be able to see what actions a user has done across all devices.

What is the use case for this?
I can not imagine a home where it is that important to “follow” a persons actions like that.

I think it’s good to be able to have a logbook of real user actions rather than a mix of actions, automations and sensor updates.
If I need to check, who opened the door, closed the curtains and switched on the lights, right now I would need to go and check the logs for each device, rather than a timeline of actions

I just have a hard time seeing what you need the information for.
I can maybe see the reason for unlocked the door, but asking the persons in your household would probably be just as effective.

Investigating potential security breaches would be one such instance. If you know an account got compromised you’d want to go back and and check the logs for their account to see if malicious actors have been accessing your cameras or any other malicious action that means even after changing credentials they might still have access to your home network.

Bearing in mind that home assistant is also sometimes used by smaller businesses who may want audit abilities for their employees in case of misconduct.

True and the logs will not be any help then.
You have to assume you entire system is breached then and restore a backup and change the credentials of all accounts before going online again.
