Looking for a zigbee device to monitor a DC line - is it hot ( 10-18 VDC) or not ? Don’t need to know that voltage. Any suggestions?
The only ready-made Zigbee option I know of is Frient’s I/O Module
If you dont need Zigbee, and Shelly i4 DC (Wifi & Zwave versions) can do what you want. I use the Wifi version as they are around $20 vs $40 for Zwave
also, there are many ways to DIY what you want using Zigbee, ESP, Shelly, Tuya wifi, etc – ChatGPT has great info on DIYing it.
It might help if you explain the exact use case. Sounds like you have a circuit that you break/connect and want to detect that?
I have used door sensor devices. Remove the reed sensor and wire it to the n/o contacts on a relay powered by the line you’re monitoring.
I suspect that not using the magnet and just guide the wire along the side of the zigbee doorsensor is enough because a dc wire has a magnetic field around it when i use.
It may worth a try.
