Looking for best way to control Carrier AC

Hello, this is my first post on this great community, learned a lot of things. And sorry because i’ve never contributed since i’m new and still learning.

Here’s my setup:
HAOS mini pc
Few tuya light switches
1 panel “Alexa voice assistant”
Few sensors “motion - intrusion - smoke…”
Hikvision intercom
IP cameras
… and still trying to integrate more things in the next future. What Im trying to say is that HA saved my life by controlling all devices in one app

All works perfectly, but i’m stuck in the decision on how to control the AC “3 rooms zone”

The main unit is Carrier 42qss036, link ::

Is it better to install the normal thermostat that comes with the same brand then use esp32 device + temperature sensors to control the whole system for the 3 rooms?

Or

Buy smart thermostat and install them on each room?

I’m not familiar with esphome but if that’s the best solution I will take it and learn how to set things up.

Thank you so much

There’s this one if you need direct control/feedback and not using ir

Thanks @ferbulous , I don’t know if it will work for a ducted air conditioner with 6 valves. 3 for blowing and 3 for return.

Let me ask this one more time, is it better to use esp devices to control each room valves “blow and return” to be opened and closed both when temperature is reached?

Or

Buy 3 smart thermostats and install them on each room to control that?

I’m just looking for something that will gives me the full control through the HA integration.

I found those thermostats on Aliexpress.

Will this thermostat works if I install 3 on each room. To close and open the 2 valves in each room “blow and return”??
