Hi everyone,
I built Tasmota Manager, a Home Assistant app to manage all my Tasmota devices in one place. Think TasmoAdmin with a modern UI and a safer workflow: every change is staged first, and nothing is written until you start the batch run.
I think it improves upon TasmoAdmin in usability and user experience, especially for non-experts that want a simple, clean UI to manage device names and such.
What it does (version 0.5.1)
- Finds devices via MQTT discovery and network scan
- Batch-edits settings, commands, rules and timers across many devices
- Knows the device type: plugs, lights, relays and climate sensors get their own settings (e.g. PowerDelta, fade, dimmer range, sensor offsets), and batch edits skip devices where a setting doesn’t apply
- Handles restarts and reads every value back to verify it
- Shows each device’s current values while you edit it
- Live telemetry: a readings column with a one-hour chart per value, and a telemetry tab with all sensor and device values
- Suggests values from Home Assistant: timezone with daylight saving rules, NTP server, MQTT broker, temperature unit and device names
- Can generate a rule for instant sensor updates if the 10-second telemetry minimum is too slow
- Toggles relays and lights straight from the table
- Suggests names for devices still called “Tasmota” and links to their HA device page and automations
- Flags stale devices that Home Assistant no longer knows and lets you remove several at once
- Available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch
Please note
Most of the code was written with an AI assistant (Claude Code); I designed, reviewed and tested it. It runs on my 22 devices (firmware 12.1 to 15.3) without errors in rough testing, but bugs are likely, including ones that could lock a device out of Home Assistant. Back up your device configuration first and try it on a few non-critical devices.
I would love to hear what works, what breaks and what is missing.
