Hi all, absolute newbie here and not super tech savvy so bear with me please. I am having some dramas with my setup where everytime I do any form of update resulting in restarting HA all my devices and integrations fall over. Eventually after numerous restarts of both HA and the Nuc itself they eventually come back, but this does not seem like the correct path of action here and I want to get to the bottom of it. This has been happening in this fashion since I started all this about 6 months ago.
My setup is HA in a Proxmox virtual machine on an old Intel Nuc. I have about a dozen Aqara devices mostly temp and door sensors and a single smart lock. All these devices are purely sending feedback with no further integration or operations which are dependant on these devices as inputs currently. I’m using an Aqara M3 hub as a border router with all these devices. For additional context I can go into the Aqara app on my phone during these dramas and still see everything with current data, so assuming atleast at the point of the M3 Hub it’s still happy and transmitting.
This below is the kind of chaos I am usually greeted with after a restart, everything is unhappy.
If I go into the logs these are the three I’m presented with, from what I can tell its timing out and not starting everything correctly, but a simple restart doesn’t fix this, 5 or 6 might, but there seems to be no logical rhyme or reason to it. I’ve done a lot of googling but can’t really find anything which is pointing me towards anything obvious.
So turns out I can only post one image being new so see below replies for the rest
My only theory I have is that the hardware (Nuc) isn’t keeping up and it’s just not processing fast enough during startup. But I would of thought when people run HA on Rasperri Pi’s that even a old/slow Nuc would be more than sufficient, especially when it’s barely got any devices connected to it, but maybe (quite likely) I’m wrong. When it eventually finds all the integrations and devlces there seems chug along fine with no issues, but getting from where I am now to that point is the issue. Any reccomendations would be fantastic, the back end troubleshooting is a bit over my head.
Cheers
