Lost internet and wifi connections on main router

I lost 2 routers in a day and left me with nothing to run my medical things.
I di have lights that would work by a remote but got some that do not have this with lights and now it’s hard to use them at all really.

I have a Ikoolcore R2 that needs to be connected by ethernet I think to run Home Assistant but don’t quote me on this Im guessing.

I have by luck just managed to bet a wifi dongle into one PC to get an internet connection until Virgin get to me Monday.

But I’d rather not wait due to medical things not working as needed.

Is it possible to get a connection to the Ikoolcore R2 from my PC that has its Dongle in it?

Or is it a case of I have to wait for services to get back up and running on the main router that when to another router to run the wifi, both have broken and Im unable to get into them and virgins router has no power to it.

So no clue what has gone on during the night as everything was running fine until this morning.

Any help on this would be great

Hi, Dave,
With my limited knowledge of networking, and not knowing your setup fully, I would imagine you are faced with two options: A. Run a direct Ethernet connection from your HomeAssistant box (IKoolCore R2?) to all possible local devices - including your PC, or
2. Setup a WiFi network somehow (perhaps using the Dongle that is working on your PC) and a DHCP server (assuming this is how you had devices configured previously) and get all devices connected to that. If the IKoolcore R2 doesn’t have WiFi, then another dongle will be necessary for that device.

I’m guessing your medical devices need to access HomeAssistant but that they do not have Ethernet… in which case you are left with Option 2.
Hope this helps some!
