I set up my new Pixel 9a this morning. As part of that I installed the Companion App. All seemed well.
However, now I seem to have lost the ability to use the ‘notify.mobile_app_DEVICENAME’ action, even for previously present devices.
If I go to Developer Tools / Actions and start typing in ‘notif’ there is nothing shown in the dropdown.
The same applies if I try to either modify an existing Automation or just add another action to an existing one - the option is just not there.
The somewhat weird thing is that if I go into an existing automation there is still some[1] information visible there, but not all of it. I can’t see any of the settings. If I go for ‘Run Action’, the notification turns up as expected - complete with formatting and all that.
Where it gets truly weird is if I go into Yaml mode, edit the action to have the name of the new phone instead, save and ‘Run Action’ - the notification pops up on that phone.
I’ve uninstalled the Companion App on the new phone a couple of times. Restarted HA. Nothing seems to bring it back.
Any ideas what could have cause this, or even more importantly - how I could fix it?
I’m now at the point where I might just restore the last backup and see if the same thing happens if I re-install the phone.
