Lovelace buttons starts automation

Hi,

I already searched for this topic and found some posts from 2013, but I didn’t get it.

I want to create a lovelace button, that starts an automation when pressed.

But when creating the automation I do not understand what event or device could be the trigger (“press button”?).

And when creating the button: What entity should be used?

Use a script instead of an automation and call the script from the button.
