TL;DR: Consolidate and visualize NINA and DWD warnings in Home Assistant with color-coded severity, auto-sorting, and optional maps.
What is it?
The NINA & DWD Warnings Card brings together warnings from Germany’s official emergency (NINA) and weather (DWD) services into a single, clean Lovelace card. It prioritizes critical alerts, deduplicates rebroadcasts, and shows them in a readable, color-coded format.
Features
Unified warning display
- Combines multiple NINA binary sensors and DWD warning sensors.
- Highlights the most critical alerts first.
- Displays sender information for NINA warnings.
Smart formatting
- Color-coded headlines based on warning severity/level.
- Formats warning start and end times for readability.
- Shows a “No Warnings” message when there are no active warnings.
Customization
- Limit the number of warnings displayed.
- Hide card automatically when no warnings are present.
- Optionally show DWD warning maps for a specific state (“Bundesland”).
Installation
Available in HACS (recommended).
