LTS stored in DB forever - but DB size do not seem to be changing

Using a “filesize” integration to get a DB file size.
When no changes in HA config occur - DB size is same (as expected).
May be reduced by a periodical “purge” - like it is visible here:

A question is about storing LTS.
LTS are kept forever.
Even if LTS is a small amount of data - it should cause increasing a DB size.
But I do not observe a change.

May be I do not see a change since I am using a sensor with a value measured in MB?

After the purge interval the 5 minute max, min and average are down-sampled to hourly readings. So that is only 24 x 3 data points a day per entity. So yeah you’ll probably be waiting a while to see an increase on that MB scale.
