Lumen for Frigate on Android — looking for beta testers with a Frigate setup

Hi! I’m the developer of Lumen for Frigate, and I’m looking for people who use Frigate and an Android phone to try the Android version before its public release.

I’d like feedback on connecting to your setup, everyday usability, and problems specific to your phone or installation. You’ll need your own Frigate setup to test with your cameras.

Update — 4 October: Google Play currently shows nine participants. I’m looking for a few more people using different phones and setups. Pro is unlocked in the current closed-test build, 0.1.2-testers, so no purchase is needed to test all your cameras.

You can join directly:

  1. Join the testing group: https://groups.google.com/g/lumen-android-testers
  2. With the same Google account, opt into the closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.lorislab.lumen
  3. Install Lumen using the Google Play link on that page.

Please remain opted in for at least fourteen consecutive days and try the app during that time. Joining the group alone does not enroll you in the Play test. This is a pre-release test, not an offer of permanent free access to the paid release.

Please share any confusing setup step, camera problem, or clip playback issue here, along with your phone model, Android version and Lumen version. Don’t post your Google email, Frigate credentials, or private camera footage publicly. I’ll follow this thread to answer questions and collect feedback.

Lumen is an independent app and is not an official Home Assistant or Frigate project.
