Luminance value delay in changing from light to no light

I'm having trouble using the luminance in my automations. I have used several brands (Eve, Third Reality and Apollo). I'm using occupancy and lx value to switch the light on and off. The issue occurs:
The lx value is set at 10 (above = no light / below = light on)
The occupancy is triggered and the lx value is below the setpoint of 10 which immediately turns on the light and the lx value is 18.
The no occupancy is triggered and the light immediately turns off and the lx value stays at 18 for several seconds (20 - 50 which I call it the "delay off change") before returning to the previous lx value below 10.
If I trigger the occupancy on again while the lx value is still in the "delay off change" value (meaning the lx value is above 10), the light will not be turned on until I re-trigger the occupancy on and the lx is below 10.

I don't understand what the "delay off change" in the lx value is all about. Please advise.

Sounds like you are experiencing the update frequency of the devices.

Please explain further....thanks!

A device will update the sensor values in intervals.
Some sensors have shorter values than other, but there is always an interval.
Especially battery-powered devices have long intervals, because short intervals cost a lot more wear on the battery.
Often it is not or only whitin a small range possible to adjust the interval of manufactured products for the consumer market.
A solution to this can be to make your own with ESPhome.
