Lutron Caseta not reporting state changes in HA when using the wall switch

First off, my HA is up to date and running on a pi 3b, and has been working generally good for 2 years. It is mostly hands-off, as in motion sensors turning things on and off etc, I very rarely have to touch a light switch. I have the non-pro Caseta hub.

I recently got a roommate and had to disable most of my automations, as to not freak him out, and I am noticing that when any of my caseta switches are turned on or off at the wall, the state change is not reflected in HA. I have some automations that rely on the state of some of these lights so they are obviously no longer working.

This is driving me crazy! I’m not sure when this started, as I stated earlier I never really used the wall switches so the states in HA were always correct. I’ve been trying to find a solution and have had no luck yet. Any ideas? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thank you!

Even if the fix is to buy a pro hub, or if there is some sort of workaround. I couldn’t find where this is happening to anyone else and I’m pretty sure not everyone has a pro hub. What changed and when, my HA is pretty well broken for now.

Hey did you ever figure this out. I’m having the same issue. Randomly they don’t report a state.

Hey, sorry I never did figure out why it was doing this but it worked itself out somehow. I didn’t change anything on my end other than updates and probably the Caseta hub updated itself. I’m currently on HA core-2021.11.5.

Also, probably unrelated, I kicked out the roommate. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

Appreciate the update.

I’m at a loss, some switches seem to have no issues but a few, most commonly on basement led ceiling lights don’t report accurately.

In your opinion would a pro hub make a difference.
