Hi folks,
I’m conceptualizing my home automation (more specifically, media library/LMS) and I need guidance.
Use case:
I have Logitech Media Server (Squeezebox) currently controllable via Home Assistant. My main use case for LMS is a local library and a few favorites (radio stations). The current capabilities with the hassio mobile app is quite limited as it pertains to browsing my library on a network drive (LAN), and I can’t figure out how to get to my favorites using hassio.
My second way to better control LMS is the mobile app iPeng. I can do it all on that app.
Audio distribution
I also have the Soundavo audio distribution system. I can control most of what I need to control with hassio or the Soundavo app.
Physical controls
I’m looking into different options to control both, LMS and Soundavo with a physical option such as the Lutron Pico remote (media remote for Sonos). I’m nearly committed with Lutron caseta/diva for light controls and fans, etc. As such, I would prefer to stay within the Lutron ecosystem.
The question is… has anybody tried the Lutron Pico remotes to control a Soundavo audio distribution system and a local music server (LMS) via the hassio / Lutron integration? Does it work? Any glitches? How many remotes did you need (I mean there is a limited number of buttons on those remotes) to control the Soundavo inputs, zone syncs, volume, bass, trebble and balance? How about LMS controls (my main use for LMS controls is volume and track/playlist selection)?
Thank you for sharing your experiences!
