I know what you might be thinking: oh great, not another tracker integration.
That’s fair. But I do think this one approaches the problem a little differently.
I’ve been testing this idea in different forms for about 6 years, and this is my take on how recurring task tracking should feel in Home Assistant. My focus is not on building a giant task dashboard that keeps everything in one place until it slowly turns into background noise you stop noticing. My focus is the workflow.
The goal is to make recurring maintenance feel as close to set it and forget it as possible:
- Create the task
- Complete it when it becomes due
- Reset it and repeat
That is where the visibility filter comes in.Instead of showing every task all the time, Maintenance Tracker is designed to stay out of your way until a task enters the visibility window you define. Once you create a task in Manager mode, you usually will not see it again until it is actually relevant. Since your Home Assistant dashboard is already something you look at every day, whether on your phone or on a wall-mounted display, it becomes the ideal surface for these reminders without adding unnecessary clutter.
The result is a tracker that aims to be simple, practical, and easy to live with day to day.
This is my first integration ever so,
try it and let me know what you think!
