Make Hue Dimmer Switch available in Homekit via Bridge

I migrated by Hue devices (lights, motion sensors, dimmer switches) to HA (ZHA). I also still use Homekit for some Homekit-only devices and have added HA via the Homekit Bridge. The lamps and motion sensors are functional in Homekit and can be used for Homekit automations. However, the dimmer switches are not. Strangely they show up as occupancy sensors, but the buttons are not available as triggers for Homekit automations. Is there any way to make the dimmer switches usable in Homekit?

Some progress: I found the Device Triggers settings in the Homekit Bridge integration (you have to enable advanced mode in the user profile to make them appear). My v1 dimmer switches (model RWL020) are shown as options. I enabled one of them, and now I can see “button event” triggers for Homekit in the Eve app. Some problems though:

  • In the Device Triggers settings only the model numbers are shown, but not which dimmer switch device specifically. I have several RWL020 listed, but can’t tell which is which.
  • After enabling one RWL020, I see 36 button events, apparently corresponding to the trigger events that are available in HA automations. But they are all named “Philips RWL020”, so again no way to tell which is which. So if you have, say, 10 dimmer switches you have 360 button events. Any way to identify them without a lot of trial and error?
  • While I can see the triggers in the Eve app, they don’t seem to be available in Apple’s Home app?!
  • I also have a couple v2 dimmer switches (model RWL 022), but they are not offered in the Device Trigger setting.

Right now this isn’t really usable due to the “which is which” problem. Any advice?
