Markdown Card doesn't render on ipad

I have an old ipad air I use as a display. For some reason the Markdown Card doesn’t render on it. I can see it fine on my browser on my Mac, but the ipad just shows a small white horizontal bar instead.

It’s very simple markdown, no html, nothing. Even if I just put a single static word in there, it doesn’t work.

I am happy to provide any other information. I have tried resetting the frontend cache, but it made no difference.

Same issue here with iPad 12.5.7
