Marygrove Awning- Spettmann Smart-shade MiniHub

Good morning,

I have installed a Marygrove Awning that comes with a Spettmann Smart-Shade MiniHub (http://smart-shade.app/) that connects to the mobile app via Bluetooth and to the internet via Wi-Fi.
I am able to control the awning from the mobile app, and I heard from customer support that I could even integrate in Alexa, however I am looking at an all-local solution, prefereably BLE, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, but I could work with other options such as ZigBee, Matter, etc…
I believe the mobile app works by sending commands to the cloud and then the Mini-Hub receives the commands from the Cloud.
In all of this I assume that there should be a way to shorten the loop and go all local.

I am not able to find much material online on how to do make this happen.
I would also take suggestions on how I could “sniff” the protocols to potentially reverse engineer the communication, just need to be pointed to some good instructions as I am at most an amateur homeassistant programmer.

Hope someone here is able to share his experiences!

Thank you!

I eventually got it working!
Ditch the Spettmann Minihub, totally useless!
Get you a “Broadlink RM4 Pro” instead, configure its Wi-Fi, then go on Homeassistant to “Learn” the codes sent by the Marygrove Remote (it’s RF, 433.05 MHz).

This youtube has a good tutorial to set up the Broadlink RM4 Pro with homeassistant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjHrHKOUK70).

Case closed and awning now opening /closing automatically !
