I moved a card from a sections dashboard into a Masonry dashboard. But I didn’t expect my main Overview dashboard to change over to Sections.
Now I cannot figure out how to remove all of this white space between card stacks.
I’ve ticked ‘dense section placement’ but this doesn’t do anything.
There’s something awry with Dashboards, but I’m not sure what.
I come here and try to learn from others experiences, or reproduce issues like this, to better understand HA for myself. I poke around trying not to break anything too much.
Recently I’ve had integrations create new dashboards, but cannot create a new dashboard myself. I mean, I tried to create one yesterday and this morning, but it never materializes. I’ve never issued an HA bug report, and if I was familiar I wouldn’t quite know what to say other than that, at the moment.
Not much help to you, basically sympathizing here.
Note: I just restarted HA and now have access to the dashboards I tried to create yesterday and today. The Map dashboards I tried to recently create show up as Overview types, as do the other recents.
I ended up rebuilding the whole dashboard.
Must be a bug with sections toggle for ‘compact’ layout and it’s not changing anything.
