Unless I have missed something obvious, I don’t see how this is installed with HAOS.
I don’t think this is the Matterbridge you’re referring to.
Because this started as a stand-alone replacement for Homebridge, it’s not as straightforward to integrate, IMO.
Thank you, mixed links indeed - edited my comment.
It took me about 15mn to have it up an running. Install in a docker, and add the HAOS plugin and use a token.
This fork seems to have a lot of activity and already released a bunch of new features and fixes, I just migrated to it (very easy instructions to follow), I recommend it:
Thanks for this. I made the switch and it’s working great. I had a problem with the migration instructions, so AI helped me figure it out (it had to do with where the back-up files were placed so the new add-on could find them.)
Working great for me. Did the migration from my t0bst4r hub. Under homeassistant/addons_config there was a folder which ended *_hamh. I copied the content of that folder on a separate location. Then uninstalled the t0bst4r addon (without removing the data!). Installed the RiDDiX addon. I first had to start it to show a new _hamh folder under homeassistant/addons_config. I then copied the old content of the old t0bst4r _hamh folder to the newly created _hamh folder and restarted everything.
I just switched to the fork as well. Many thanks to @t0bst4r for the work and many thanks to @RiDDiX for the fork!
Same, it was very easy to switch over with the clear migration instructions.
Anyone know if this will work with the new Google Home Smart Speakers that use Gemini?
Had to rebuild my HA and want to add Google assistant again.
I have ‘updated’ all of my original and nest minis to use Gemini and they work with it, so I would assume newer devices with Gemini already on them would too.
Do you already know? Seems Gemini is now forced coming to all devies, I still run the Google assistant +manual), so maybe I need to switch over to Gemini setup or this matter approach
