I’m using IKEA matter devices. Their Matter Node Label can occasionally get cleared (randomly).
I got tired of restoring labels manually, so I made Matter Label Guard, a custom Home Assistant integration. It periodically checks the nodes you choose and restores a label only when it is empty, so it will not overwrite an existing label.
It’s a workaround rather than a fix for the underlying (firmware) issue, but it has saved me from repeatedly renaming devices.
