Thanks I’m using the built in radio on the HA Yellow radio for the thread interface so I don’t think that I can augment it’s power supply and hope that it’s not underpowered being built in.

I’m having this same issue, every 6 hours on the dot. I don’t have an OTBR, though, but I did try to install the ZBT-2 about 10 days ago but removed it after it wreaked havoc on my network. I have 4 Apple TBRs and an Apple managed thread network. The info for the Thread network shows channel 25. I don’t think there’s a way to change it to channel 26. I’m at a loss of how to track this down but it’s driving me crazy. Help!
@tbfnews @tonyinseattle After upgrading to the new Matter Server plugin and activating Beta in the settings (which uses the new Typescript based Matter Server instead of the old one) I’m seeing major improvements. Instead of all my 57 Matter devices going offline every 6 hours for up to half an hour, now only 2 to 6 devices go offline for just up to 5 minutes. And these numbers seem to improve day by day. So the issue is pretty much gone with the new software stack.
I had to restart my Matter server several days ago, and I noticed my MoT devices went offline for a bit exactly 6 hours later, and then maybe a small slip 6 hours after that. Then things stayed stable for at least a day and a half. Then, last night I had some kind of Supervisor crash issue and had to reboot the host at 21:45. My MoT devices came back online after about 20 minutes, but then noticed that a bunch of devices went offline again 6 hours later, at 03:45. I’m about 30 minutes away from 09:45, so I’m curious what will happen.
Something happens every six hours for a lot of us. I feel like it has to do with the firmware update mechanism, but I’m not sure – like maybe something is broken in checking for updates.
I have NOT upgraded to the new Matter server yet because I’m out of town and don’t want to make such a big change until I return.
Just a report after some time with the new Matter Server (still behind the Beta switch in the settings): The issues from the old Matter Server not only got less, they completely disappeared, including the 6-hour-rhythm fortunately. There are still a few glitches here and there sometimes with devices becoming unavailable, but this happens to one of the devices around once or twice a day and mostly they become available again after a few seconds and I only notice because I’m still tracking the availability states of all my Matter devices.
Hi everyone, I also switched to the beta version of the Matter server yesterday and can confirm that the issues have been resolved. All Matter devices are online and no longer have any connection problems.
