I changed to another provider (Deutsche Wetter) and I've got pretty good results. It looks accurate. I'll check for a few days with the DW website.

I ran into the same head scratcher and ended up fixing it by switching to the hourly forecast instead of the daily one. The daily max from Met.no often lands as a midday snapshot instead of the actual high. If you grab the hourly temps and feed them through a simple max template sensor, you get a number that actually tracks the warmest point of the day.
