Will the Lovelace frontend work without an internet connection to the oustside? In particular, I want to know about the MDI icons I use in customize.yaml, as well as a few in customUI
MDI icons are not pulled form MDI’s website live, they’re included in the HA file, so having internet access or not should not have any impact.
Thanks @lolouk44 . It makes sense. Also explains why some mdi icons failed to load for me.
Only the very latest icons should fail if you are keeing HA up to date. Check the material design icons history page (green = newly created):
