Meet maint — Stay on Top of Home Tasks in Home Assistant

Keeping track of home maintenance can be surprisingly hard. Air filters, water softeners, cleaning routines, appliance checks—it’s easy for things to slip through the cracks.

maint is a simple Home Assistant integration that makes this effortless.

With maint, you can set up clear, reliable reminders for the recurring tasks that keep your home running smoothly. It automatically creates the sensors and notifications you need so you always know what needs attention, when it was last done, and what’s coming up next.

What maint helps you do

  • Stay ahead of recurring chores and upkeep
  • Track when a task was last completed
  • Get gentle reminders when something is due
  • Keep everything organized in one place inside Home Assistant

It’s simple, structured, and designed to blend naturally into your Home Assistant setup—no clutter, no fuss, just better visibility into the upkeep of your home.

If you’ve ever wished Home Assistant could help you manage all those “don’t forget to…” tasks, maint is for you.

Ah excellent thanks for sharing, I was adding a couple binary sensors by hand just this weekend for maintenance tasks reminders. I will give this a try. Cheers @cpd

Looking forward to more on this!
Hoping more people want to contribute (I am not a developer…)

For me I have some requests, to improve usability. My main focus is to in the end implement a system like this for my in-laws (70 yrs old but tablet savvy)

Has anyone done a comparison between this and Home Maintenance?
