Meross ms600 Presence Sensor: useless?

My suggestion is add them to home assistant with matter.
Use the matter connection for automations its local and fast.
Then add them to the meross app to change the settings as desired .

This gives you the speed of local and the control of settings with the app or meross lan.

I did what Magnus33 is recommanding and comfirmed, it works perfectly.
My case :
Light up the room when someone goes in and light off when nobody is in the room.
I setup by using my phone to add directly matter device from HA (like brand new one reset…) then I added to Meross app.
With Meross App is more for config purpose and I use the matter on HA directly for automation (light)… It works perfectly and fast.

I suspect meross polling changes are deliberate to reduce overhead.
So no changes to the meross lan are going to change that.

The matter connection being local is instant and far more reliable. Plus the app or meross lan on home assistant give all the control you always had.

It also fixes the issue where the presence sensor could be delayed or wrong when it had to communicate with meross mqtt servers.
