Any chance of seeing an intergration for this in HASS?
That would be awesome ! There is a python implementation to interact with it available here, maybe it could help.
bringing this back from the dead. By chance, did anyone end up working on this? I have this product and I canāt find anything quite like it
I ended up just getting a SwitchBot, works way better
I always pick the wrong horse
I never had much luck with the VRGhost util for these devices, I am using Switchbots elsewhere, but for the washing machine it doesnāt seem to work (the button seems to require more of a finger surface area press, to activateā¦ the Microbot push has a wider pad that I think might do the job).
Anyway, came across another script for controlling the Microbot Push:
I have one of these knocking about and was looking for a project to test my limited but improving python skillsā¦
Itās not working very reliably at the moment but feel free to give it a try;
Great Integration!
I had the push microbot collecting dust since the first naran hub was decommissioned. I already considered that it was quite expensive and it didnāt work very well either to buy the next Hub, and luckily I didnāt because soon after the company went bankrupt and they didnāt provide service.
I also have the microbot alert that has several sensors (if someone know of any possibility of ha integration that would also be great).
As for this integration, I have already installed everything and reset the microbot push, although it has not given me several lights, only a blue LED blinking. It seems that I am able to send some kind of response because the blue LED stays on for a few seconds when I do any service such as token or server. I can never get it to activate, it gives me an āerror call service switch turn on/off. list index out of rangeā.
At the moment I can only use it manually.
It is not clear to me if it has obtained the token. I canāt find the path. Where do I find it?
Shouldnāt the token be put in the microbot push configuration?
For example
platform: microbot_push
bdadr: āFC:37:9C:0E:64:74ā
token: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I await your answer fot that it works again, thanks for your work
Can you confirm the firmware version of the push. It should be >1
I think it is more than 1. It is the most strongest version because the beginning version was broken and they send me another one second generation. But I really donāt know
Try pairing with the Keymitt app and see if there is a firmware upgrade available
Yes, it have a firmware update.
It works! not always but it works
Hope it is possible to integrate Microbot Alert soon
Yeah it can take up to a minute to respond but, at least for me, is pretty reliable. If you try and send a command before waiting for the first to complete however, it will fail. Not ideal but Iām not knowledgable enough to fix it, Iām simply using an existing library.
The server option should help but for me itās not working so I should probably remove it.
If you have a spare phone/tablet hanging around then you can use it with the Keymitt app as a hub with webhooks and integrate into HA that way. It wonāt be local obviously but itās another option.
I canāt help with the alert sorry
A couple of questions about the Microbot Push plus integration:
-
I want to remotely push the switch on a Surestop SS/22/RPL Stopcock remote switch, which will need more force than a switchbot can muster (bit stiffer than just a rocker light switch). The suggestion is this is 1.6kgf which hopefully could deal with this. I know everything is relative but those who have one, does it have a decent downwards force?
-
The HA integration - is a hub required?
-
Anybody tried the Kermitt model?
Sorry a bit late but seems Iām not watching this thread.
-
Itās definitely more powerful than the Switchbot. Seems to able to push most things Iāve thrown at it is all I can say
-
No hub required
-
No but as far as I can tell itās identical
Firstly, thanks to this thread, I now have a working pair of OG Microbot Pushes ready to be repurposed. Canāt add them in Kermitt (they pair but then fail to show up, I assume some version incompatibility somewhere) but Iāve got them working over bluetooth from a PC, so thanks everyone.
I also have a Surestop remote switch, and I can tell you that from a quick held-in-place test my OG Push struggles to toggle it. I have a vague recollection they increased the torque for the second gen ones, but I definitely wouldnāt trust mine for something as critical as turning off the water supply.
The original MicroBot app is still available. They should work with that I would guess?
I did a quick search on the Play Store and didnāt see it. Can you paste a link?
Odd, itās on the apple store.
