I have a SkyConnect on my HA Blue, I’ve set up my new HA Yellow, and I’d like to switch to use the built in Zigbee radio. For now, I have the SkyConnect plugged into the Yellow.
I opened the ZHA integration and downloaded a backup then went through the migration process, but none of the 3 shown options work, all fail. I was able to reset the SkyConnect, so I still have functionality for now. Also, I only have a few devices connected right now so it wouldn’t be a huge problem to start from scratch if I had to.
I haven’t found any definitive setup instructions on the Yellow documentation. I’ve followed a few topics, but none of them have worked.
Does anyone have any links to proper setup instructions? How do I know which device is the Zigbee radio? I believe im choosing the correct radio type.
Edit, I found the yellow documentation stated that the Zigbee radio is at /dev/ttyAMA1, that matches the posts I had been following and the one that I tried first, but failed.
I’m wondering if I uninstall the ZHA integration, unplug the SkyConnect, then reinstall ZHA, will it then auto recognize and setup using the built in radio?
From there I should be able to update the radio using the backup. I’m assuming if it doesn’t work, that I can reset the SkyConnect again, but I’d be happy if anyone has any suggestions on how to get this working.
I do not have a Yellow myself, but know it uses GPIO serial and not USB thus it is unique that way hence the ZHA developers should have written a custom migration flow for it under the hood, so you should still just need to click the “MIGRATE RADIO” under “Network Settings” in the ZHA integration and follow the on-screen instructions if you are using Home Assistant core 2023.2 or later. See example:
I’ll reverify that I have exactly that when I am able to try again, unfortunately work intrudes. I might not get time to attempt the migration until at least this weekend.[quote=“Hedda, post:3, topic:531513, full:true”]

These are the options available when I try to migrate:
The top one is my SkyConnect, when I try to use the third one, either using the selection, or using the ‘Enter Manually’ option and typing the address copied from the Yellow documentation I linked above, it always fails:
No, I put this aside and never got around to trying it again. It’s one of dozens of things on my ever expanding to-do list. Maybe I’ll try again if I can dedicate some time to it.
