Migrating backup to new system [NUC->Fujitsu]

Hi all,

I’ve installed the latest update of “Core” yesterday.

Today wanted to access lovelace and I was not able to reach it, anymore.

Directly after the update, everything worked fine, so I assume, it is a coincidence.

My installation has worked flawlessly for more than 5 years on a NUC.
To fix things, I restarted several times and watched the monitor, but there wasn’t even a Bios Menu showing up. I will test a couple of things, but am also prepared to set everything up, again.

I do have a “Full backup.tar” file from last week and I have a Fujitsu 720 remaining.

On my NUC, I’ve had several added functions on my USB ports like KNX-gateway through USB, Zigbee/CC2652RB, rtl_433 antenna, etc.

And of course a lot of Add-Ons.

Before I start this entire mayhem:
What does a “full backup” file even mean?

Can I just install a plain vanilla HA OS on the Fujitsu, attach all USB devices mentioned above and install the “full backup” file?

What makes the most sense from your POV?

Thank you!

No. Install either HAOS on the Fujitsu, or Deblian + Supervised, then you can restore your backup.
Full backup = all HA data + which add-ons are installed + all add-on data

Perfect, thank you! What is the preferred option?

(Forgot to mention, that the same machine should also serve as KNX Gateway using knxd, if that is important)
